FAQ
Q. Who is Blossom Home Childcare for?
A. Here at Blossom Home Childcare, we are a support system for families of all dynamics. Daycare is a more affordable option for private childcare, and allows parents and children to gain valuable social and emotional opportunities, and a community of support. Blossom Home serves:
- Parents that work out of the house
- Parents that work from home
- Parents that stay at home and need time to focus on other activities, appointments, tasks, and household administration
- Families with nannies that want to add opportunity for socialization for their children, and time for nannies to take on household administration roles.
At Blossom Home, we understand that the early years are crucial for development, and our mission is to provide a space where infants can thrive, explore, and develop at their own pace.
Q. Why choose a licensed in-home daycare?
A. One of the key benefits of this daycare option is the personalized and more intimate environment, as compared to traditional daycare options. Children in this setting often feel more comfortable and secure as they are cared for in a home setting. Blossom Home Childcare has a caregiver to infant ratio of 1:4 that allows for a nurturing and familiar atmosphere. This can be especially beneficial for infants and young children who thrive on routine and familiarity and have the same teacher every day. The smaller setting allows for individualized care and attention. As a licensed in home daycare, Blossom Home Childcare also follows all state regulations, licensing, and safety guidelines that commercial centers follow.
Q. What age group do you accept?
A. We care for infants age 8 weeks to 2.5 years old. Children may enroll if they are 24 months or under.

Q. What are your operating hours?
A. We are open 8:30am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday.

Q. Do you offer fulltime and part time care?
A. Please contact us for a current list of availabilities. Spots may be open for a 2 day, 3 day, or 5 day schedule pending availability.

Q. What is your tuition?
A. Please contact us for availability on current openings. Tuition is based on 2, 3, or 5 days schedule. Please inquire to see pricing and tour availability.

Q. Are meals and snacks included in tuition?
A. Yes, for infants old enough to eat table food, breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack is available. Baby food purees, cereals, formula, and milk is provided by parents. We aim to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies. Parents may provide alternate meals, or opt out of any meals from the monthly menu. Tuition will not be prorated to include any changes.

Q. Do you charge for school vacations and holiday breaks?
A. Blossom Home Childcare qualifies two different types of daycare closures, 1) holiday breaks and 2) daycare vacations.
For holiday breaks, tuition is due in full. Daycare vacations are tuition FREE. We understand that daycare closures require parents to pay for back up care, so unlike most centers, we do not charge for the scheduled daycare vacations. Please see the school calendar under "Program". In addition to scheduled closures, Blossom Home reserves the right to take 10 days of PTO/sick leave per year, where tuition is paid in full during closure.

Q. Do parents still pay if our child is sick or we go on vacation?
A. Tuition is paid regardless of attendance. Any absences for sickness or vacation when the daycare is open require tuition to be paid in full, no proration or refunds.

Q. What happens if my child is sick?
A. If a child becomes ill at daycare, parents and/or emergency contacts will be contacted for immediate pick up from care. Blossom Home Childcare is NOT back up childcare for when children are ill. 2 emergency contacts are required for enrollment, and children must be picked up within 1 hour of contacting parents. Children are not permitted to attend childcare if they became ill at home. Sickness policies are detailed in the parent handbook/contract signed at time of enrollment.
